Busy Times in the Senate!

First things first, my name is Nick Marquart (I'm one of three interns and two attaches working with Senator Nolan this session)and I'm an intern from UNLV. We (the interns and attaches) are staying extremely busy this session trying to help out as much as possible.

We have a lot of work ahead of us, but from the looks of it we will accomplish some really good things. We have some great legislation proposed by Senator Nolan, that will go a long way towards helping the people of Nevada. His bill to reinstate athletic programs in middle schools for example can go a long way to giving the younger kids in Nevada a positive and rewarding place to have some fun. He is also looking at making the roads safer here in Nevada by putting stricter penalties on wreckless drivers.

We apologize for not posting any blogs earlier, but it has taken some time for us to fall into our stride here at the legislature. You should start seeing more regular additions to this page by myself, the other interns and one of the attaches. Until then go to the Nevada legislature website, where you can watch our committee meetings, follow up on the bills Senator Nolan is working on and generally follow the session. We look forward to keeping everyone posted, until then we'll talk to you later.

Nick
